This program just keeps growing. There is tons of talent out there and we'd like to thank everyone that submitted to be a part of this. The plan was to announce 12 finalists but we had such a hard time narrowing it down we decided on 14 entries this year. The first meeting will be this Sunday Nov 23rd 2pm at Tractorgrease Studio. This will be an orientation and songwriting workshop with Ridley Bent and Dustin Bentall
So here's the list :
Ted Kim "Dear Father"
Bob Gauvin "West of Memphis"
All of these performers will get a free live performance video from Tractorgrease Studio, a series of workshops and a chance to win a studio package for "Best Performance" and "Best Song" as voted on by our panel.
89.5 The Drive and Tractorgrease Studio have a new version of Music Business 101 for 2014. It's all about the Singer-Songwriters this year. Submissions will be accepted until Nov 15th and 12 of the finest will get a free live video recorded at Tractorgrease Studio. 2 awards of additional studio time will be handed out to the Best Performance and Best Song.
Our first songwriting workshop with Canadian Music Star Ridley Bent and Dustin Bentall will be Nov 23rd
All 12 participants will play a songwriter concert series at the new Tractorgrease Cafe
Like all of our Music 101 Seminars all participants will get coaching on the business side of things from Industry pros.
