Trent Reznor on the Music business

Here's a blog by Trent Reznor about how to be successful in today's music business. One of the suggestions he made:

"Give people a reason to return to your site all the time. Put up a bulletin board and start a community. Engage your fans (with caution!) Make cheap videos. Film yourself talking. "

We're set up at Tractorgrease to make great live videos or interviews at a reasonable price.

If you are an unknown / lesser-known artist trying to get noticed / established:

Open Mic at Tractorgrease

We had our first open mic at Tractorgrease Studio and what a selection of original tunes. Justin Wiebe's eclectic Chicken Song, Andrew's great guitar playin, Greg Storm singin well crafted tunes and 15 yr old Blake Pinder with this song "Spring"

Some other guy got up on stage with him as well, rumour has it he's a Reluctant bass player but there's no proof of that yet.

The Deep Dark Woods at Tractorgrease

On April 23rd we had The Deep Dark Woods live in the studio. Their soothing harmonies and laid back instrumentation reminded me of a male version of the Cowboy Junkies. Signed to Black Hen Records and recently releasing their new CD "Winter Hours" they make it easy to become a fan.
